Job Description
Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Full-time (1.0 FTE) Education Assistant at Mayerthorpe Jr/Sr High School Mayerthorpe AB.
Successful candidate s responsibilities:
- Provide support to students in an inclusive setting
- Follow the direction of the classroom Teacher
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children parents and staff
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
- Understand and carry out oral and written direction
- Work independently with minimal instruction
- Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
- Respect confidentiality
- Practice professionalism with all MHS School students staff administration parents and public
- Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures
- Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process
- Have strong interpersonal skills and patience
- Enjoys working in a team environment
