Job Description
Fort Lauderdale FL On-site Full-time Monday-Friday 8:15 am 5:00 pm schedule.
WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A SHIPPING CLERK:
- Verify items received for shipping by inspecting condition and ensuring accuracy against invoices.
- Scan and record identifying product information into the company database system.
- Prepare shipments by assembling packing protecting and labeling packages.
- Determine and select appropriate shipping methods based on customer accounts and requests (e.g. FedEx UPS USPS).
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and shipping procedures.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe shipping environment.
- Assist in resolving any shipping discrepancies or issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
- Previous experience in a shipping role preferably.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with computerized systems and data entry.
- Ability to manage time effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Capable of lifting and handling packages weighing 30 to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed.
