Long Term Substitute - High School Social Studies Teacher

Westchester Country Day School a Pre-K through 12th grade independent school located in High Point NC seeks an Upper School Social Studies teacher for a long term leave replacement. Responsibilities include teaching five sections of Upper School Social Studies classes in addition to serving as an Upper School advisor. Westchesters Upper School Social Studies classes include the following course titles for this position: AP World History Honors World History AP Human Geography and Honors Human Geography.

The ideal candidate holds a B.A. in the social sciences preferably a Masters degree in Social Studies or education is comfortable with and knowledgeable of a variety of student developmental levels and skills designs lessons that develop critical thinking and reading skills and has experience teaching social studies at the high school level. Having an NC Social Studies license and AP certificate is preferred.
