Description
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement function and supporting supply chain operations across the organization. This role ensures timely cost-effective and compliant acquisition of goods and services while managing vendor relationships contracts and purchasing processes. The Purchasing Manager develops purchasing policies and procedures mentors staff and partners with leadership to drive cost savings supplier performance and operational efficiency.

Educational Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience; healthcare experience preferred.
At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead purchasing role with demonstrated vendor management and contract negotiation expertise.
Special Skills or Training Requirements
Strong negotiation contract management and supplier relationship skills.
Knowledge of healthcare procurement regulations and requirements preferred.
Proficiency in procurement systems databases and Microsoft Office applications.
Effective communicator with strong leadership and team-building skills.
Ability to analyze purchasing data develop strategies and drive cost savings initiatives.
High ethical standards with a collaborative approach to working across departments.
