YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
Team Management:
- Supervise and train host/hostess staff.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to the team members.
- Conduct regular meetings to communicate updates changes and expectations.
Reservations:
- Manage reservation systems efficiently.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and floor staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Confirm reservations and communicate special requests to the appropriate departments.
Guest Services:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Assist guests in making reservations and provide information about the menu specials and promotions.
- Ensure prompt and efficient seating of guests.
- Handle guest inquiries concerns and special requests.
Seating Arrangements:
- Organize and manage the seating chart.
- Monitor and maintain an efficient table-turnover rate.
- Ensure proper communication with servers to manage the flow of the dining room.
Communication:
- Liaise with kitchen and waitstaff to manage table rotations and ensure timely service.
- Communicate with management regarding any issues or challenges in the front-of-house operations.
Quality Assurance:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the reception area.
- Monitor the overall dining room ambiance and address any issues promptly.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to enhance guest satisfaction.
Special Events:
- Coordinate and manage special events private parties and large reservations.
- Work with the events team to ensure seamless execution of special occasions.
What we need from you
- High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management Food & Beverage or related field
- 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Obtained alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency
- Able to read and write English
