Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our Data Operations team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights supporting data-driven decision-making and maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our data pipelines and reporting processes. This role requires strong technical expertise critical thinking and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect clean and analyze large datasets to provide actionable insights and support business decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards reports and visualizations using BI tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI or Looker).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs data requirements and reporting needs.
- Monitor troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality checks and validations.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support key initiatives campaigns or operational needs.
- Assist in the automation of reporting and data workflows to improve efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends tools and technologies to improve processes and capabilities.
- Tenaciously solve problems and make decisions under uncertainty.
- Actively contribute to team ceremonies including: sprint planning daily stand-up sprint review and retrospectives.
- Demonstrate a strong ownership in understanding business needs and driving business valued outcome.
Qualifications
- University degree in a quantitative concentration: Computer Science Engineering Mathematics Economics or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in data analysis reporting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing relational databases.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau Power BI or Looker.
- Proficiency with Python for data manipulation (e.g. with pandas) data visualization (e.g. with matplotlib or seaborn) and basic automation or analysis tasks including working with APIs or cleaning datasets.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g. Snowflake Redshift BigQuery).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS Azure or GCP.
- Familiarity with data governance and best practices for data quality.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.
