Senior Lecturer / Lecturer I / Lecturer II (Chinese Section) ()
The appointee is expected to (i) coordinate and teach University Chinese as well as other credit-bearing and non-credit bearing courses; (ii) assist in the design preparation and revision of syllabuses and teaching materials for Chinese courses including self-access language learning materials; (iii) coordinate extra-curricular activities in the Chinese Section; and (iv) perform other duties as assigned bythe Head of the Language Centre and the Head of the Chinese Section.
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree with a major in Chinese or a related field be fluent in Cantonese andPutonghua and be able to communicate in English. Applicants familiar with the design and development of Chinese curriculum and teaching materials for higher education institutions in Hong Kong and/or those who hold an education diploma or have experience teaching Cantonese or creative writing at local tertiary institutions will be given priority consideration.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years commencing September -appointment thereafter is subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
