The Region Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager- North China assigned to one of Pinkertons largest global clients will inspect and evaluate the clients corporate offices equipment and processes to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry best practices. This role analyzes data conducts risk assessments and implements mitigation plans while developing over-arching strategies and processes to ensure environmental health and safety program objectives are met. Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkertons core values of integrity vigilance and excellence.
  • Understand and analyze EHS data and information including laws regulations benchmarking studies industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement programs to achieve global and region level EHS goals and/or objectives.
  • Partner with Security Facilities HR Business teams stakeholders to ensure information on EHS policies is communicated implemented and executed upon among employees vendors and third-party contractors.
  • Oversee injury/illness and incident management process.
  • Conduct risk assessments of the clients existing portfolio of corporate offices identify sources of EHS risk and develop remediation and mitigation plans.
  • Assist in the response to emergencies and significant disruptive events impacting corporate office buildings.
  • Develop processes and procedures related to EHS for designated areas whenever needed.
  • Ensure developed annual EHS improvement plans aligned with the organizational strategic direction.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering or science or EHS related qualifications with at least five plus years within environment health and safety roles.

  • Knowledge of EHS support within commercial offices and construction or renovation of commercial facilities preferred.
  • Prior work experience within a multinational organization preferred.
  • Able to readily embrace change and adapt quickly.
  • Bi-lingual written and verbal communication skills; English and Mandarin.
  • Able to logically think through interactions and take appropriate next steps.
  • Professional qualifications in EHS (local or international).
  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness and management in commercial facilities.
  • Familiar with office EHS programs..
  • Knowledge of regional level EHS procedures processes and program development..
  • Deep understanding of EHS management system and EHS risk management.
  • Able to perform within a fast-paced environment with changing circumstances direction and strategy.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Client orientated and results driven.
  • Able to quickly learn and master new tools software and systems.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:
