Position Purpose: Charlotte Country Day School an independent coeducational day school located in Charlotte NC is currently recruiting for an athletic trainer to begin work September 1st 2025. This is a full-time year-round general this persons primary responsibilities include coverage of all Middle School sports and be available for weekend coverage as needed. Summer coverage includes sports camps and out of season sports practices on the Upper School Campus.
Essential Functions:
The assistant athletic trainer position will join an athletics program that includes 26 varsity sports most of which have both junior varsity and middle-school counterparts. The assistant athletic trainer will work directly with three other full-time BOC certified and licensed athletic trainers providing coverage of all home athletics events and practices as well as travelling with teams as assigned. The primary role of the assistant athletic trainer is providing coverage for athletics practices and events. Specific responsibilities include:
Qualifications:
Successful candidates must be NATA/BOC certified athletic trainers and licensed in the state of North Carolina. Candidates must exhibit enthusiasm for the role of athletics in an independent secondary school setting the ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding an athletes health care strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Additionally candidates must successfully complete a criminal background check.
