The F&B Service Intern supports the restaurant and banquet service teams in delivering excellent dining experiences to guests. This internship offers hands-on exposure to food and beverage service standards guest interaction and operational procedures within a hotel or restaurant setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables in restaurants bars or banquet areas according to service standards.
- Support service staff in taking orders serving food and beverages and attending to guest needs.
- Refill water beverages and condiments during service to ensure a smooth dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations dining areas and equipment.
- Observe and learn proper service techniques menu knowledge and guest engagement.
- Help prepare dining areas for special events functions or high-traffic meal periods.
- Follow hygiene safety and grooming standards as required by the hotel and local regulations.
- Communicate guest feedback or special requests to senior service staff or supervisors.
- Participate in team briefings and training sessions to enhance service skills and knowledge.
- Uphold a professional courteous and welcoming attitude with all guests and colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Currently enrolled in a hospitality or related program (or recent graduate seeking internship experience).
- Friendly personality with a strong sense of teamwork and customer service.
- Basic understanding of restaurant or banquet operations (training provided).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and carry trays or service items as needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends evenings and holidays.
