We are currently looking for a colleague with the right skill set to help implement necessary customs procedures across ECA with the end goal of being able to make use of all benefits potential customs licenses can bring to the BU. You have an important role to help mitigate risks and identify opportunities for the business and drive the implementation of a customs compliance framework.
About The Role
Responsibilities:
You will prepare lead & execute customs risk & opportunity projects jointly with procurement opcos and other parties.
You will be an important team player within ECA to create intercompany exchanges of best practices and promote an ECA customs community (implement Best Practice and Continuous improvement)
You will ensure each Opco will implement the customs framework to ensure proper customs procedures are in place and executed.
You will manage the import/export policy documents (customsprocedures document retention policy and framework) and conduct regular internal audits to ensure procedures are followed and risks are mitigated.
You help identify sourcing opportunities with respect to duty optimization for example through preferential origin/General scheme of preference making use of quota and suspensions etc.
You are the first point of contact for Opcos with customs related questions such as classification origin valuation etc. You can escalate towards Nutreco Customs Centre of excellence for support. If further support is needed outsourcing can be taken into consideration.
Follow the customs & trade news and translate this into action where needed.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
HBO/University work and education level
You can work in a structured way and are able to manage projects effectively.
You have a good understanding of customs and are willing to learn. Experience/knowledge of customs declarations HS classification origin assessment maintenance of customs licenses and/or customs valuation is strongly preferred.
Your skills include time management problem solving collaboration critical thinking and teamwork.
You are a great communicator and can connect across different levels of the organization.
You are willing to travel 25% of your time.
