We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Middleware Administrator to join our IT Operations team. This role is responsible for the deployment configuration management and support of middleware technologies supporting business-critical applications. The Middleware Administrator will ensure high availability performance and security of the middleware environment while participating in automation and continuous improvement efforts.
Install configure and maintain middleware platforms such as Apache Tomcat JBoss WebSphere OpenLiberty and WildFly.
Provide L2 support for middleware operations and collaborate with engineering teams on L3 issues.
Monitor the performance and availability of middleware components and tune them for optimal performance.
Perform routine patching and upgrades to ensure compliance and system stability.
Support application deployment processes and assist development teams with middleware requirements.
Create and maintain operational documentation installation guides and knowledge base articles.
Participate in on-call rotation and incident resolution activities.
Identify opportunities for automation and contribute to scripting/configuration efforts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support.
3 years of experience in middleware administration in a production environment.
Hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat JBoss WebSphere OpenLiberty or WildFly.
Proficiency in Linux-based environments.
Basic understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL Oracle or MS SQL.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python).
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus Grafana or Splunk.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 or higher).
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
Understanding of automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and working with ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
Experience with secure system configurations and compliance standards.
