About the role

Were currently looking for a motivated Labourer to join our Regional Assets Track team based at our Redlynch depot. This is a permanent role offering stability variety and the chance to work in one of Queenslands most scenic regions. As part of the Redlynch Track team youll play a key role in maintaining the rail network spanning from Cardwell to Mareeba including the picturesque Kuranda line.

As aTrackworkeryou will be responsible for performing heavy manual labour duties including replacing railway sleepers and a variety of other track maintenance tasks.

This position is constantly in the field so you must be able to work in challenging weather conditions and high temperatures.

In this role you will:

• Assist in the repair and maintenance of the railway track
• Perform outdoor labouring duties throughout the region (including flood repair and other emergency work)
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently

About you

• Based in the local area and have the capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
• Recent experience in a manual handling labouring or TA type role
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Drivers licence essential
• Demonstrated commitment to safety
• Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required

Hours and salary

The starting base salary for this position is $ 69091plus 12.75% super. Working the current 9-day fortnight (78 hours) you can expect to earn over $85000 annually.
