Assist engineers in developing refining and validating welding and joining techniques for advanced manufacturing applications.
Perform welding trials inspections and documentation of test results to support process development.
Support the development of coating and machining processes as needed with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Operate and maintain welding coating and machining equipment ensuring operational readiness and process accuracy.
Conduct routine equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety quality and cleanliness standards including daily housekeeping responsibilities.
Maintain detailed records of experiments procedures and outcomes to support knowledge capture and continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with engineers technicians and cross-functional teams in a lab or workshop environment.
Qualifications
NITEC Higher NITEC or Diploma in Welding Precision Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of hands-on welding experience (TIG/MIG preferred)
Proven hands-on experience in welding (TIG MIG or other relevant methods); certifications are a plus.
Knowledge or exposure to coating or machining processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
Comfortable working with industrial tools and equipment in a workshop or lab setting.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Self-driven adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and methods.
