We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network fundamentals hands-on experience with network devices and expertise in troubleshooting and designing network infrastructures. This role involves working with both physical and cloud networks providing solutions to maintain optimal network performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing implementing and maintaining network infrastructures including LAN WAN and WLAN.
- Configuring and managing network devices such as routers switches firewalls and load balancers.
- Troubleshooting and resolving network issues related to TCP/IP routing switching VPN NAT DNS and DHCP.
- Monitoring network performance using tools like Wireshark NetFlow SNMP or SolarWinds to identify areas for improvement.
- Assisting in network automation tasks by writing scripts using Python or Bash to streamline network management processes.
- Ensuring network security by configuring firewalls and VPNs and managing access control.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide networking support in both on-premise and cloud environments (AWS Azure).
- Providing technical expertise in large enterprise network setups and contributing to network architecture decisions.
- Responding to and resolving network incidents under time-sensitive conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Network Engineering or a related field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or a similar role.
- Proficient in TCP/IP routing switching VPN NAT DNS DHCP.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark SNMP SolarWinds.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for network automation is an advantage.
- Experience with cloud networking platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot network problems in real-time.
- Strong understanding of network security best practices including firewalls and VPNs.
Preferred Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- CompTIA Network or similar.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or relevant network security certifications are a bonus.
