Work hours: 35-40 hours per week

The Role
The Graduate Accountant is an emerging finance professional who supports the broader team with reconciliations entries and foundational reporting. This role is designed to grow accounting capabilities while delivering reliable support for compliance audits and planning activities.
They learn through hands-on involvement and mentorship contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement while gaining exposure to the full finance function.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Strategic leadership and Business enablement
- Prepare basic analysis and reports to support initiatives
- Assist in drafting financial messages and decks
- Provide feedback on processes and tools
Financial Management
- Assist with entries reconciliations and report compilation
- Gather data for forecasts and assist with variance tracking
- Learn and apply correct accounting treatments under guidance
Risk Tax and Compliance Management
- Support audit preparation risk documentation and basic tax tasks
- Support internal controls preparation and compliance that is driven from the Head of Accounting and Senior Accountant
- Assist in gathering tax documents
- Support documentation and audit trail tracking
- Learn and apply correct changes in tax laws and financial regulations
What youll need to succeed
- Qualifications: A Post-secondary education such as a degree in Accounting/Finance
- Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks timelines and budgets effectively.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication. Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Japanese; N4-N3 with a desire to reach N2.
