Job Description

Our ideal candidate has 4 years of experience working in a finance team. You are degree qualified and have completed or are working towards your CPA/CA. This role will see you reporting to and working closely with the Financial Controller to achieve departmental objectives and goals. This role will be a key influencer across the business and you will provide guidance and development to other members of the team particularly our transactional teams (Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable and Payroll). Your excel skills are at an intermediate/advanced level and knowledge of MYOB would be an advantage but not essential.

You are highly analytical have strong attention to detail and a demonstrated problem-solving ability. You enjoy working as part of a highly engaged team and love to work on projects dedicated to improving the business. You also love people and building relationships and can take ownership of tasks providing sound reasoning and quality decision making.

You must have:



  • Effective communication skills proactive initiatives.
  • Finance tertiary qualification (and working towards your CPA/CA).
  • Knowledge of accounting and reporting systems (e.g. MYOB and TSM).
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and employee files.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:



  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to achieve business goals.
  • Support annual budgeting monthly forecasting and external audit processes.
  • Mentor the Assistant Accountant and contribute to a high-performing finance team.
  • Perform daily bank/credit card reconciliations and prepare payroll tax and other payments.
  • Manage Bank Guarantees and the Credit Card Management System
  • Review GL entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations and the fixed asset register.
  • Lead financial entries for vehicle leasing and support financial system maintenance.
  • Contribute to month-end close reporting and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Drive improvements in internal controls governance and reporting processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and perform ad hoc tasks as required.
