Job Description
SCHOOL OF CHINESE MEDICINE
TEACHING AND RESEARCH DIVISION
Postdoctoral Research Fellow / Senior Research Assistant ()
The applicant is expected to conduct research projects in the areas of biomedical sciences or related disciplines. Applicant should be a local graduate from Hong Kong with a Ph.D. (or BSc with at least 3 years of research experience for the Senior Research Assistant position) in Immunology Biochemistry or Bioinformatics is desirable; innovative self-motivated with good planning and organisational skills; and able to work well in an interdisciplinary team. Non-local applicants can apply if the applicant possesses a qualifying degree awarded by top 100 institutions for STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) related subjects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature review for relevant research projects;
- Supervise junior research staff and students;
- Undertake any other duties as assigned; and
- Assist in applying for external competitive research grants.
Requirements:
- A PhD degree in the Immunology Biomedical sciences Biochemistry Biotechnology Bioinformatics or related discipline with a strong publication record;
- The ability to write research papers in English;
- Innovative self-motivated with good planning and organisational skills; and
- The ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 1 year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
