Special Education TeacherLocation: Institutional Setting MassachusettsSchedule: MondayFriday School hoursHours: 8 Hours/DayPay: $65-70 per hour Benefits EligibleMake a Difference Every Day Arbor Associates is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and strategy support to students in secure settings. This role is ideal for educators passionate about equity trauma-sensitive teaching and helping high-risk youth reach their Youll Do:Deliver engaging skills-based lessons aligned with student differentiated instruction accommodations and modifications to meet diverse learning culturally responsive respectful and inclusive classroom with colleagues host agency staff and families to support student and track IEP goals progress notes and transition planning social-emotional learning strategies and support positive in professional development team meetings and statewide accurate student records reports and data to drive RequirementsWhat Were Looking For:Required:Bachelors degree in Education or related fieldMassachusetts Teacher Licensure in Mild-to-Moderate Disabilities (512) - Willing to accept a waiver or emergency license if in progressCommitment to working with high-risk youth and promoting social justiceStrong communication organization and collaboration skillsReliable transportation to meet travel needsPreferred:Masters degree in Education or related fieldMultilingual and/or multicultural experienceWork Environment:Primarily an indoor classroom in a secure residential setting with occasional outdoor or off-site be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand and sit without assistance. Requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment where priorities may evening events and occasional travel across the state.
