Itron is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Contract - Distribution Coordinator to support shipping and receiving operations. This role ensures the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments maintains records and facilitates internal routing of materials. This is a part time contract role 20 hours per week 4 hours per day.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify shipments against bills of lading invoices and purchase orders
- Create bill of ladings for products shipped as non -Bill of material
- Confirm materials received match purchase order documentation
- Route incoming items to appropriate internal departments
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
- Receive and stock finished goods and raw materials
- Ship materials using carrier systems (e.g. FedEx UPS)
- Move materials between storage and production areas
- Enter warehouse transactions into Oracle ERP
- Deliver materials from building suppliers
- Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic understanding of shipping and receiving procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel)
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems
- Familiarity with carrier systems (FedEx UPS)
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in warehouse dock or logistics
- Forklift certification or experience with material handling equipment
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Knowledge of safety protocols and hazardous material handling
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit stand and handle components
- Frequently required to reach climb stoop kneel crouch or crawl
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to fumes particles weather electrical risk vibration and noise
- May work near moving mechanical parts
Compensation:
San Jose CA: Base salary range: $25.00 - $57.69 per hour Final rate determined by skills and experience in accordance with non-discriminatory practices.
This is a safety sensitive role.
