Performs limited supervisory and semi-skilled work involving: the maintenance of grounds flowers and plants athletic fields and landscaped areas; and/or general maintenance of community recreation facilities. Employees assigned to this classification perform a variety of tasks involving above-average physical effort and operation of power tools and equipment requiring some manipulative skills and the ability to work without frequent supervision. Work is usually performed under moderate supervision of a crew leader or a field supervisor and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation meetings and review of work orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED; two (2) years of experience in horticulture required; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Required to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed. Valid Florida Drivers License required.

If this posting indicates a degree is required the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelors degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a masters degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
