The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee espresso-based beverages and other refreshments in a fast-paced customer-focused environment. This role supports the overall guest experience by delivering exceptional service maintaining cleanliness and efficiency and upholding OVGs standards of hospitality.

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.50 to $16.00 and is tip eligible

• Prepare and serve coffee espresso drinks teas and other beverages according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. Must be willing and able to handle alcoholic beverages.
• Operate espresso machines grinders brewers and other caf equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation including counters equipment and storage areas.
• Restock supplies and ingredients throughout the shift to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Greet guests warmly take orders accurately and handle transactions using POS systems.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
• Follow all food safety sanitation and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties including inventory checks and cleaning.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during events and peak service times.
• Uphold OVGs values of integrity respect and excellence in every interaction.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Previous barista or food service experience preferred especially in high-volume environments.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays based on event schedules.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling.
• Food Handlers and Alcohol Certification (or willingness to obtain) may be required.
