Job Description
Role: Senior AWS Network Engineer
Work Location: Mountain View CA
Duration: 1 year (Extension possible)
Work setup: ONSITE
Role Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Network Engineer with 8 years of experience in designing deploying and managing enterprise and hybrid cloud networks. The candidate will architect resilient hub-and-spoke networks and ensure secure connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement hybrid network connectivity between on-prem and cloud.
Deploy and configure AWS Transit Gateway VPN tunnels Direct Connect/Partner Interconnects.
Implement firewall and security controls (AWS Network Firewall Security Groups ACLs).
Troubleshoot and optimize high-bandwidth low-latency networks.
Collaborate with cloud architects on secure scalable hub-and-spoke designs.
Document network architecture operational runbooks and DR procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
8 years in network engineering with strong enterprise and cloud networking expertise.
Hands-on experience with AWS networking: Transit Gateway VPN Direct Connect VPC Route53.
Solid knowledge of routing switching BGP MPLS IPsec SD-WAN.
Familiarity with firewalls/security appliances (AWS Network Firewall Palo Alto Fortinet Cisco ASA).
Exposure to multi-cloud networking (AWS/GCP).
Proficiency in network automation/IaC tools (Terraform Ansible).
Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty
CCNP/CCIE (Routing & Switching / Security) or equivalent advanced certification.
Hands-on experience with multi-region global-scale network rollouts.
Experience in handling high-throughput workloads (25G/100G networking SR-IOV/DPDK).
Strong consulting/enterprise customer-facing experience.
