Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients experiencing mental illness behavioral disturbances or substance abuse issues.
- Assist law enforcement family members and others in the admission process including voluntary and emergency detentions.
- Make referrals to community resources and coordinate appropriate outpatient or inpatient treatment programs.
- Collaborate with physicians nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans resources and community support services.
- Ensure compliance with Massachusetts psychiatric laws and organizational policies.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and community relations programs.
- Maintain accurate timely and confidential patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- License: Active Massachusetts LICSW or LCSW
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric/behavioral health experience
- Experience with adolescent and adult patient populations Required.
- Inpatient psychiatric experience
- Strong understanding of Massachusetts law regarding psychiatric care
- Certifications: Current BLS certification
