Job Description

IT Support Technician
Location: Cambridge OH relocation assistance will be offered if needed

We are seeking a hands-on IT Support Technician to provide frontline technical support assist with hardware deployments and contribute to maintaining a reliable IT infrastructure. This role offers a mix of end-user support and back-end IT responsibilities in a fast-paced team-driven environment.

Qualifications:
  • At least 1-2 years in a help desk or entry-level IT support role ideally involving exposure to networked environments.
  • Working knowledge of networking basics such as IP addressing DNS DHCP and an understanding of routers switches and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and commonly used business software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform hardware repairs upgrades and installations.
  • Experience supporting end-user provisioning including account creation permission setup and decommissioning processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Proven attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in collaborative settings.

Essential Duties:
  • Handle day-to-day hardware tasks including setting up maintaining and replacing computers network devices and other peripherals.
  • Deliver user-facing technical assistance responding to issues related to hardware failures software malfunctions and basic connectivity concerns.
  • Prepare workstations and IT assets for deployment ensuring systems are properly configured and up to date.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding workflows by configuring user accounts assigning appropriate system access and setting up required equipment.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving basic network performance issues; escalate more complex incidents to senior IT personnel when necessary.
  • Maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures equipment configurations and system changes.
  • Participate in IT process improvement projects and contribute ideas to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Support compliance with security standards including user access control and network protocol adherence.
  • Take on additional IT-related tasks or projects as needed.

Education:
  • Associate degree in IT Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications or practical experience accepted.
