As an Environmental Sustainability Analyst you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities to drive progress towards YETIs environmental sustainability commitments across our supply chain. You will be the main program point of contact with global factory partners responsible for collaborating to define track measure and report on environmental KPIs and reduction initiatives. Additionally you will act as in-region support to advance YETIs product and material sustainability strategy.
Responsibilities
Develop and enhance data collection mechanisms tracking and reporting across sustainability metrics and KPIS such as energy/electricity waste water and carbon intensity at factories.
Drive the end-to-end emissions accounting process and accuracy across Scope 12 and 3.
Advance YETIs Supplier Environmental Program; collaborate closely with factory partners to define and implement impactful environmental reduction targets roadmaps and initiatives including the adoption of renewable energy.
Leverage YETIs existing carbon accounting platform and other tools to track and quantify environmental reduction initiatives both at factory/DC level and rolled-up to YETIs corporate footprint produce regular report-outs that can be incorporated into business reviews and leadership updates.
Support the cross-functional team to build YETIs preferred material database by identifying collecting and maintaining traceability documents and certifications relevant to our sustainability objectives.
Support global sustainability team members with project implementation on the ground in Asia.
Answer program disclosure and reporting requests from retail partners customers and stakeholders as required.
Maintain pulse on industry and regional best practices trends emerging issues regulation etc.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
Credentials
Up to 4 to 6 years of experience leading sustainability initiatives with manufacturing partners preferably at a global Consumer Products company.
Familiarity with industry standard environmental frameworks tools and certifications such as Greenhouse Gas Reporting Protocol Product Environmental Footprints (PEFs) or Life Cycle Assessment (LCS) Worldly/HIGG GRS bluesign ISCC Plus FSC.
Familiarity with energy audits pathways to renewable energy schemes (on-site PPA VPPA RECs green tariffs etc.) and in-country incentives.
Strong attention to detail comfort with data analytics and presentation tools such as Excel Smartsheets Google Sheets Tableau and Powerpoint.
Ability to communicate complex topics in a clear visually engaging and compelling manner to a variety of audiences.
Passion for building deep relationships with supply chain partners exercising influence and collaborating on continuous improvement.
Motivated self-starter with a desire to support a growing global supply chain within a growing global brand.
Fluent in English both written and verbal.
