Part-Time Lecturer for Foundation 4D I DN1004
The School of Art Design and Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University Singapore invites qualified candidates to apply as Part-time Lecturer for DN1004 Foundation 4D. The Part-time Lecturer is expected to teach an undergraduate course commencing in August 2025.
This 13-week studio course exposes students to basic concepts elements and principles used by artists and designers in 4D (time-based) creative practices. Drawing on historical and contemporary time-based creative practices the course will provide opportunities for students to develop basic competencies aesthetic and creative problem-solving skills through the creation of short form time-based work that explores the potential image sound time and space in shaping viewers perception. The course provides students a context to explore and situate their creative interest for more advanced exploration of time-based creative practice.
Applicants should be highly knowledgeable and proficient with Adobe Photoshop After Effects and Premiere.
Successful candidates will have a Masters and/or PhD in Fine Art or other relevant subject a track record of exhibitions or industry experience and past teaching experience at Undergraduate Level.
Preference will be given to candidates having an active artistic and design practice that demonstrates versatility in time-based art and design practice (e.g. Photography Illustration/Digital Painting Film Motion Graphics Animation).
