The opportunity

As a Specialist Operator with our Transport team in Palmerston North youll do more than just operate equipmentyoull play a key role in setting up worksites maintaining machinery coordinating with your crew and ensuring construction materials get where they need to be.

Youll be responsible for utilising a range of modern equipment including excavators loaders rollers trucks mid-mount tractors and graders all while contributing to a safe and organised workplace.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Conduct routine equipment safety checks site set-up and basic maintenance

  • Transport materials between worksites and assist with loading/unloading tasks

  • Complete daily reporting keep accurate records and support your team as needed

Werelooking for someone with:

  • A full clean Class 4 drivers licence (Class 5 is desirable)

  • Wheels Tracks and Rollers endorsements

  • Dangerous goods endorsement

  • Proven experience transporting machinery within civil construction / contracting roles

  • Have a sound knowledge of all transport trucks
