Are you an experienced and values-driven HR professional ready to influence change and support our organisations people strategy We are seeking a Generalist HR Advisor to join our team in this newly created role someone who brings a solid background in all facets of HR along with a strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi Tikanga Mori and an inclusive people-centred approach.

Key Areas of Responsibility
HR Advisory & Policy Review: Provide trusted advice across HR matters support policy development and ensure compliance with current legislation.
Talent Recruitment & Administration: Manage recruitment processes from end to end ensuring best practice equity and a great candidate experience.
Learning and Development & Mtauranga Mori: Coordinate staff development initiatives that integrate Mtauranga Mori learning pathways and support professional growth across the team.
Te Tiriti o Waitangi: Champion our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi embedding its principles into everyday HR practices and policies.
Person Specification
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
35 years experience in a generalist HR role.
Strong working knowledge of New Zealand employment law and HR policy frameworks.
Familiarity with HR systems (HRIS ATS LMS).
Demonstrated stakeholder management and communication skills.
Essential Attributes
Culturally responsive with a deep understanding of Tikanga Mori and experience working with diverse communities.
Highly organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
Strong interpersonal skills ethical integrity and a commitment to inclusive confidential HR practice.
Tech-savvy and self-motivated able to work independently and collaboratively; holds a Full NZ driver licence.
Desirable
Fluency in Te Reo Mori.
Fluency in a Pasifika language and cultural competency.
