TE TRANGA I THE ROLE:

Were looking for a commercially savvy Legal Counsel to join our dynamic in-house legal team based in Skys Viaduct office. Reporting to the General Counsel youll work across a broad portfolio of commercial and corporate matters with a particular focus on drafting and negotiating technology and commercial agreements. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a varied autonomous role and help shape the legal frameworks that power our sport and entertainment experiences.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Drafting reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial and technology agreements with minimal supervision
• Supporting our procurement technology customer and content teams with pragmatic legal advice
• Advising on compliance across consumer privacy and telecommunications law
• Contributing to strategic projects and key commercial transactions
• Supporting the wider legal team with corporate and company secretarial matters

Youre confident in your judgement commercially minded and thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment. You bring a calm solutions-first approach to complex legal problems and enjoy building strong partnerships across the business.

ESSENTIAL

• A current NZ practising certificate with at least 5 years post-admission experience
• Solid experience drafting and negotiating commercial and technology agreements
• Proven ability to assess risk and deliver clear practical legal advice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED

• Experience in media technology or consumer law
• Background in a large corporate or well-regarded commercial law firm
