Job Description

Job Summary

Based in one of our European locations the Installation & Commissioning (I&C) Coordinator is part of the global I&C function and reports to the EMEA I&C Coordination Manager.

This role is pivotal in driving successful project delivery and enhancing the performance of the I&C function within the assigned region. The I&C Coordinator provides leadership and accountability for regional installation and commissioning activities within the Nutrition and Health end market supporting the Project Execution function.

Key internal stakeholders include the Bid Process Owner and the Project Manager during the bid and execution phases respectively. The I&C Coordinator collaborates with counterparts in Project Management Engineering Automation and Supply Chain in alignment with the delegations provided by the I&C Coordination Manager.

Responsibilities During the Bid Phase

Assess costs related to I&C deliverables including:

  • Skidded units and pre-assembled elements (labor piping fittings site setup handling lifting)

  • Site mechanical installation (labor supervision piping ducts insulation)

  • Travel expenses

  • Site management resources (mechanical EHS officer material management)

  • Process commissioning (IQ internal startup OQ PQ support handover to customer)

Estimate task durations and develop the I&C plan for inclusion in project schedules.

Responsibilities During the Execution Phase

  • Prepare tender documentation for SPX Flow suppliers.

  • Analyze supplier bids.

  • Monitor and control progress quality and cost related to I&C project scope.

  • Support EHS management in developing and implementing site-specific EHS plans.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support Supply Chain in contract negotiations with I&C suppliers.

  • Assist the I&C Coordination Manager in tracking and improving internal KPIs (e.g. as-sold vs. as-built OTD).

  • Act as a key stakeholder throughout all project phases: bid design procurement construction qualification and acceptance.

  • Ensure financial schedule technical and performance objectives are met for assigned projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interface with Proposal Engineering Project Controls Project Management EHS and Supply Chain teams to align solutions with business needs.

  • Collaborate with Global Design and Process Improvement teams.

  • Deliver I&C outputs on time within budget and in accordance with contractual and quality standards.

  • Manage developments impacting profitability schedule cost customer relations or interdepartmental coordination.

  • Promote SPX facilities in Bydgoszcz (Poland) Silkeborg (Denmark) and other partner locations for preassembly.

  • Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory).

  • Proficient in interpreting technical documentation (P&ID 3D models layouts).

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical construction and process plant installation especially in the Nutrition & Health sector.

  • Basic understanding of electrical and instrumentation/control systems and commissioning.

  • Skilled in navigating matrix organizations and fostering cross-functional communication.

  • Capable of defining and maintaining best practices for execution.

  • Experienced in large-scale multi-functional multi-country project delivery.

  • Knowledgeable in EHS hazard control during installation.

  • Proven ability to lead third-party teams and manage site activities effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.

  • Strong ability to manage complexity and multiple priorities with urgency and energy.

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Mechanical Industrial or Construction Engineering.

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role or 5 years in mechanical installation supervision/site management.

  • Basic proficiency in SAP Microsoft Word Excel and Project.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% across the EMEA region for short-term assignments.
