1. New product development 1.1 Work with business team to identify customer requirements for couplings. 1.2 Take charge of local coupling design guide drafter on drawing creation review and approve drawings. 1.3 Develop new coupling to meet business needs make sure that Gatescustomer and/or industry requirements can be met. 1.4 Lead new coupling qualification and validation project include but not limited to issue test lab order track progress review test results and prepare DVPR. 2. Lead VAVE Projects 2.1 Identify cost saving and cost down opportunity e.g. low cost new material introduction and validation new supplier qualification. 2.2 Provide leadership to VAVE projects. Lead the implementation of validation/qualification testing. 3. Manufacturing support 3.1 Maintain existing coupling products and do required improvement as need to meet local manufacturing capability. 3.2 Provide technical support to local Quality and Engineering team on solving customer complaint and manufacturing process issue. 4. Other supporting work 4.1 Support tasks that aggsined by the global team Product Development Manager and other senior players as need. 4.2 Provide product training to other team members.
A) Essential 1. University degree in Mechanical Chemical Materials Engineering or related technical field 2. Good oral/written English (CET4 at least CET 6 preferred.) 3. Necessary basic IATF-16949/ISO-9001 knowledge knowledge B) Desirable 1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical design Materials Engineering or related technical field 2. Familiarity with PROE FEA FMEA Root Cause Analysis 3. Demonstrated in understanding of problem solving & quality improvement techniques 4. Willingness and ability to perform hands-on experimental and testing work when required 5. Technical project management experience. Experience Required 3 years product design and developing experience
