We are looking for a Materials Management Specialist who plays the key role in our national infrastructure Network Build team. The key objective of this individual is to oversee material demand on infrastructure projects nationally primarily focused on key infrastructure upgrades. The activities with include coordination with the regional Program Managers RF Engineering Team Field Teams and other internal and external teams/vendors. Duties include to plan monitor manage the material workflow including creating stock transport orders and material demand forecast.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with site acquisition engineering supply chain construction and operations primes to prioritize and schedule project deliverables
Manage program financials and projects in accordance with corporate financial policies and tools (SAP & Quick-base)
Assess project deployment plan or business case to develop project scope
Collaborate with construction implementation teams to identify and balance internal resource allocation
Regular reporting and communication on project status and budget
Effectively manage change orders on projects
Manage risk within program and escalate issues where appropriate
The ideal candidate will possess:
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in material management or build-out of network infrastructure.
Completion of related post-secondary diploma/degree or equivalent through a combination of education and/or experience.
Liaising with cross functional Project Leads on project related activities and material including scheduling of project meetings as requested by the Project Managers and Program Management Team
Responding to inquiries explaining and clarifying project material
Working closely with Supply Chain to ensure stock is available for the overall Network Build Programs by producing weekly equipment shipment schedules and field spare forecasts
Natural ability to multi-task becoming a member of and shift smoothly between and amongst many different projects and initiatives
Administrative duties including data imports record creation updates and providing summary reports
Familiarity with database systems (such as salesforce & Quick-base)
Familiarity with financial management systems (such as SAP)
Previous experience with Network deployments
Effective written verbal and listening communications skills
Able to perform at a high pace and under pressure
Good knowledge of wireless and fibre telecommunications networks and infrastructure
Telecommunications construction knowledge
Able to read & interpret engineering field plans and bill of materials
