The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 2000professionals SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and business applications. Most recently SAP Labs Bulgaria expanded in the topics of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. What youll do
Were hiring a senior backend developer to design and build scalable services and APIs that power SAP Build Apps. Your focus will be on creating robust maintainable backend systems that handle real-world scale and complexity
In this role you will:
- Design backend architectures and API contracts that are scalable and reliable
- Implement and maintain backend services used by teams across the product
- Improve performance fault tolerance and developer experience
- Collaborate with peers to align architecture across teams
- Contribute to backend standards reviews and mentorin
What you bring
- Experience designing and building backend services and APIs
- Understanding of distributed systems and system design
- Ability to write clean maintainable production-grade code
- Language-agnostic mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies
- Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written
Bonus points
- Experience with cloud platforms or Kubernetes
- Exposure to frontend or full-stack development is a plus
- Experience with Typescript Go Bash Kubernetes Linux AWS GCP Azure is a plus
