Job Description

Hillcrest Youth Services is seeking a Full-Time Youth Care Worker (2nd Shift) to join our residential program teams. This role involves supervising youth in our care. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM with an hourly rate of $18.

2nd Shift Differential: $0.50

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Supervision of residents.
  • Work schedule: Sunday through Thursday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
  • All new employees are required to complete a 2-week training program.
    • The first week of training will be mostly completed during Monday-Friday First Shifthours 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM
  • Ability to be a positive role model.
  • Provide fair and constructive discipline to the residents.
  • Maintain security and safety of facility and residents at all times.
  • Maintain complete and accurate resident records.
  • Ability to manage personal stress.
  • Administer appropriate medication(s).
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure manual.
  • Transportation of residents.
  • Maintain laundry and general cleaning for each unit.
  • Ability to work with youth of all ages.
  • Previous work with juveniles highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication time management and organizational skills.
  • Screen all admissions/referrals for appropriateness of Hillcrests programming.

Job Qualifications

WHATS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

  • Must be 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelors degree in Social Work Psychology Sociology or a closely related Human Services field is highly preferred.
  • Must have valid drivers license and qualify for Companys vehicle liability insurance.
  • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks fingerprinting CPS check sex offender registry check and drug screen.
