A healthcare facility is seeking a qualified Mammography Technologist to join their imaging team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise patient-centered care and a commitment to safety and quality. This role is part of a larger imaging department and involves close collaboration with radiologists nurses and administrative staff.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
Graduate of an approved program in Mammography Technology
Licenses/Certifications Required:
Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
Current or temporary license by the applicable state medical board for Radiologic Technologists
Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R)
Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M)
Skills and Experience:
Ability to lift and maneuver patients in a safe manner as required
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment
Demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care and safety standards
Previous experience in mammography is preferred
Perform mammographic imaging exams while ensuring adherence to all radiation safety protocols
Prepare patients for procedures explain processes clearly and position them appropriately
Operate imaging equipment and ensure technical image quality
Perform quality control and routine maintenance on imaging equipment
Document patient information and maintain accurate records
Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and accreditation processes
Take emergency or after-hours call if required by the department
Uphold internal policies related to safety productivity and service quality
Participate in professional development and mentoring activities
Additional duties as assigned by department leadership
Previous work experience in a mammography setting
Familiarity with accreditation standards and imaging quality metrics
