Position: Staff/Senior
The opportunity:
Work as staff/senior on multiple workstreams for middle and back-office functions for an asset management client.
Position Responsibilities:
- Interact with the pricing vendors to price securities
- Communicate daily inquiries to appropriate internal departments
- Monitor and data mine the daily pricing for anomalies and potential issues
- Perform deep dives on issues related to securities pricing and methodology
- Issue price challenges
- Interact with Portfolio Managers as an internal consultant
- Interact with internal and external audit teams
- Audit internal processes identify and mitigate risks and develop and enhance controls
- Develop reports and presentations for funds the Boards Legal and Portfolio Management
- Maintain current knowledge of domestic and foreign securities markets and monitor effects on funds pricing and valuation procedures
- Manage various projects related to process improvements procedures and systems development
Position Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree preferably in a quantitative field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in security valuation and mutual fund operations
- Experience working with trading desk and portfolio managers
- Market data knowledge from working with providers of financial data such as Bloomberg Thomson Reuters Intex and others
- Experience working with business intelligence reporting tools and dashboards such as PowerBI (preferred) or other platforms
- Advanced Excel/VBA SQL Python strongly preferred
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Accounting Finance Mathematics Statistics Engineering Economics
- CA CPA or CFA designation
- Experience with mutual fund governance and fund boards
- Experience working with Business Analysis and Project Management
