Job Description
Four Points by Sheraton - where timeless classics are integrated with modern details. The atmosphere is honest uncomplicated and us as a Chef De Partie in a community of approachable and straightforward talent offering simplified not simple experiences to independent travellers. We are looking for a Chef De Partie who can self-manage on daily tasks to support us to run the kitchen in our iconic roof top bar The Churchill.
Position Summary:
- Supervise the preparation and production of all hot or cold food items for the food and beverage outlet
- Assist the Head Chef in ensuring the quality consistency and production of food in all areas of responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
- Plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements for the food operation
- Ensure proper portion arrangement and food garnish
- Maintain organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a way that aims to exceed travellers expectations
- Understand travellers requirements and deliver service excellence with each travellers experience
- Assist the team with preparation and execution during service periods
- Maintain strong food safety and property standards
About You:
- Trade Industry Qualification or completion of Commercial Cookery Qualification
- Passion for the industry
- Relevant experience in a similar role or looking to take the next step up
- Current working rights in New Zealand
- Enthusiastic to escalate your career
- Self-motivated driven and energized in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable team player committed to collaboration
