Monitoring and Testing Operations Director – Non-Financial Risk

Position Description and Primary Responsibilities:

Morgan Stanley is seeking a strong candidate for a Monitoring and Testing Operations director within our Budapest NFR Oversight Governance team. This position will report to the Head of NFR Oversight Governance and is critical in ensuring the execution and enhancement of the Firms NFR Monitoring and Testing operations. This position will work closely with NFR management individual monitoring and testing leads and Technology teams to enhance operational effectiveness of current processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the development execution and enhancement of the annual Oversight plan ensuring risk-based coverage and coordination across LCD and NFR teams
• Support operational enhancement programs such as embedding the Non-Financial Risk Assessment into the annual and dynamic planning processes
• Facilitate governance forums committees and working groups to enhance collaboration and oversight. Act as a central liaison for senior management and internal stakeholders regarding NFR Oversight governance
• Produce analyze and present Monitoring and Testing related MI and Reporting
• Partner with LCD NFR Technology and Data Strategy in designing the future-state tool
• Flexibility to support broader team deliverables

Skills Required:

• At least 4 years relevant experience in Internal Audit External Audit or Compliance/Non-Financial Risk Testing related fields within a global organization (over areas such as: 1st Line of Defense business units Financial Crimes Operational Risk and / or Technology Risk)
• Function-wide project management experience
• Good understanding of testing and monitoring methodologies regulatory expectations and risk management frameworks
• Detail oriented with very strong written and verbal communication skills including hosting senior stakeholder meetings and forums
• Possess professional maturity and confidence in communicating results with staff peers and management including dealing with challenges and disagreements
• Proactive collaborative mindset
• Ability to handle large workload with strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word Excel PowerPoint)
