You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailApplications are invited for appointments as Post-doctoral Fellow (several posts) in The James M. and Cathleen D. Stone Center on Socio-Economic Inequality in Asia (SCoSEIA) under the Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref: 532892) to commence as soon as possible on a one- to three-year temporary contract with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a PhD degree with a focus on research in Sociology Economics Social Work Social Policy Social Statistics or a related discipline. They should have a strong background in robust and innovative social science research methods. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese is essential along with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Experience with advanced or mixed research methods is highly desirable. A proven publication record in peer-reviewed academic journals and success in securing research grants will be considered an advantage.
The appointee will contribute to research projects aligned with SCoSEIAs core themes:
Key duties include conducting quantitative and qualitative data analyses preparing manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals and presenting research findings at academic conferences. Fellows will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and assist with project management and ethics applications as needed.
