Position Summary

The staff registered nurse is responsible for implementing directing communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients visitors and employees.

Job Responsibilities

• Documents a physical assessment of patient.
• Communicates with patients families and/or significant others in an effort to individualize patients plan of care to them.
• Verifies that physician orders are transcribed properly and carried out properly.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
• Current State License
• Minimum 2 years current experience in wound and ostomy care preferred
• Completion of a WOCN accredited Professional Education Program or other appropriate wound care certification. WOCN certification preferred enrollment in program should be obtained within one year of appointment with minimum of Wound Ostomy Nurse (WON) certification completed within two years of appointment.
