Your department
The FSSC Tax & Compliance team is located in Veghel (headquarters of Vanderlande) Dortmund and Barcelona. The team consists of 16 people. All regular transactions (processing invoices and bank statements) will be executed by your colleagues in India.
Your role
We will give you the opportunity to act as an independent financial within the FSSC EMEA this role you are responsible for our bigger and complex company within the EMEA region; Germany. You will report to the finance manager EMEA. Together with your 3 colleagues who are located in Dortmund you are especially focussing on audits. You will be using tools like; Hubble JD Edwards Tungsten Vena and Longview.
In this role you will to will be mainly responsible for:
Participate in the preparation of statutory accounts for Germany.
Actively involved in (Tax) audits performed by the external auditors
Contact person for our External auditors
Month-end close Reviews on the month-end figures identifies (potential) misstatements. Ensures that all material misstatements are adjusted or reported during month-end close. Responsible for preparing and approving reconciliations within Vena
Your Profile
A Bachelor/Master degree in Accountancy or Business Economics / Business administration;
>5 years of relevant experience within an accounting department;
Knowledge of Tax rules/laws Germany
Good communication skills;
Eager to learn;
You dare to ask questions;
You are curious in understanding things;
You understand the accounting principles according to IFRS;
You understand the accounting principles according to HGB ;
You are familiar with J-SOX;
You have knowledge of Excel;
You are open to travel to our German office when required
Fluency in English
Fluency in German
Knowledge of JD Edwards is an advantage
