What impact youll make
Determine and minimize the companys worldwide tax liability with the highest integrity while complying with worldwide tax laws. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Focused on execution of standard enabling activities/provision of advice subject to policy and work routines within an enabling discipline. There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations.
Job Description
What youll do
- Prepare VAT returns
- Ensure that low/mid-complexity VAT and associated returns are correct by reviewing them
- Working together with third-party service provider in VAT compliance processes
- Perform VAT reconciliations periodically
- Identify potential VAT errors and work on corrective actions
- Liaise with business VAT managers to ensure compliance with local regulations& business policies
- Participate in European projects focusing on VAT process & system improvements
- Support VAT internal and external audits
What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelors /masters degree in finance/accounting
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Understanding of basic VAT principles and regulations
- Accounting knowledge
- Good communication skills
- At least intermediate excel knowledge
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities/projects
What will make you stand out
- SSC/Big4/multinational accounting experience
- Working experience with international VAT regulations
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP or Oracle
Additional Notes:
- Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary
- This is a hybrid role with three days remote and two days in the office.
