JOB TITLE:
Student Equipment Technician
Campus Recreation serves students faculty/staff and others associated with the University of Wyoming.
Job location: Campus Recreation Facilities
Pay rate or range: $14/hour
JOB PURPOSE:
The Student Equipment Technician is primarily responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of large and small pieces of cardio/weight exercise equipment at Half Acre Gym and Wellness Center. Tasksinvolve diagnosing equipment malfunctions researching schematic designs recommending part orders and then disassembling and replacingfailedpartson everything from treadmillsto exercise bicycles to selectorized weight machinesand everything in-between. Equipment Techs also work to maintain the overall operations and cleanliness of the facility. An ideal candidate for this position is someone who is task-oriented pays attention to detail works well without much direct supervision is organized and efficient is familiar with tools and enjoys solving complex technical problems. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be eligible have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience trouble shooting and reviewing equipment manuals.
