Job Summary:The Accounting Assistant II maintains accurate financial records. Provides accounting and bookkeeping support. Assists University staff in understanding industry standards current laws and university policy as it relates to the financial affairs of the University. Provides guidance and trains entry-level Accounting Assistants.
Additional Department Summary:Provides clerical support to departmental faculty for their research and teaching responsibilities. Assists grant project directors in monitoring budgets. Maintains spreadsheets of funds available and processes departmental and grant related paperwork.
Required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; OR associates degree or higher.
