Position Summary:
Manager R&D Management will be responsible for developing mainly biopharma filtration products from concept to release to manufacturing stage. An ideal candidate would be using his membrane and filtration knowledge along with his six sigma and manufacturing process development skills to meet project timeline and product requirements while working cross functionally to mitigate technical and resources risks.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead and manage a team of engineers in the design and development of bioprocess medical and lab filtration products in disc cartridges and capsule format.
Lead engineers in their day-to-day activity planning and resolving technical issues in scientific and logical manner. Mentor and develop engineering talent within the team promote professional growth and knowledge sharing.
Optimize new product design and processes by statistical data analysis and by utilizing six sigma methodology.
Design and validate new equipment to support the manufacturing of new products.
Manage stakeholder expectations at all stages of development stage and communicate project status and issues in a timely clear and appropriate manner.
Work closely with the Product and Project managers to define new product specifications establish timeline and cost estimates.
Plan and/or prepare quality system documentation standard operating procedures specifications and detailed drawings.
Collaborate cross functionally across all departments in Operations Quality and Regulatory Affairs to resolve project issues.
Qualifications:
Must have a Chemical Bioprocess Polymer/Plastics/Materials Engineering Degree
Must have a deep understanding of membrane and/or filtration products a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
Green or black belt sig sigma certification.
Proficiency in leading R&D projects from conception to release to manufacturing.
Outstanding communication and presentation (Chinese and English) capable of articulately translating complex data and ideas to a diverse audience.
Motivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skills. Must have ability to reach out communicate and influence personnel at all levels within the organization.
