We believe in the potential of every young parent to become a transformative presence in their homes and communities. We do this by offering weekly programs and one-to-one mentorship as well as advocacy and crisis care.

The Young Moms Etobicoke Program Leaderwill work alongside the existing Young Parents team to develop and oversee our Etobicoke Young Moms program which includes providing practical supports and life skills training as well as emotional and spiritual support through our weekly group program and one-to-one mentorship. This position would include leading volunteers and engaging neighbourhood churches and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead develop and supervise program for young moms in South-Central Etobicoke and surrounding area
- Provide spiritual mentoring teaching and whole person care and development for participants
- Recruit and oversee staff and volunteers in young moms programming
- Care for the personal and spiritual well-being of staff and volunteers in young moms programming
- Network with local community partners and churches to effectively run and resource programs
- Work collaboratively with the Young Parents team to plan and implement curriculum for the program
- Fully engage in Young Parents team meetings fundraising and training and participate with the South Central Etobicoke team for strategic meetings and fundraising
Requirements:
We are looking for someone with:
- 3 years related experience in a similar leadership role
- Strong personal spiritual vitality and commitment to Jesus Christ
- Compassionate heart toward young moms their children and families
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Team player with strong initiative
- Confidence in relational ministry
- Active participation in a local church body
- Related experience with youth experiencing marginalization trauma mental health challenges
This is a part-time position (20-22 hours/week). The salary of this staff position is determined on a scale based on education and experience and is 100% funded on a missionary basis requiring the successful applicant to fundraise and gather a personal support team.
