Your New Role
CNN is seeking a Content Insights Analyst who will join a global team alongside members in the UK USA and Hong Kong. By leveraging CNNs suite of analytics tools you will monitor and report on the performance of digital Sponsored Features campaigns for internal stakeholders such as Commercial teams and Features Editors. You will advise stakeholders on campaign performance against key KPIs collaborate with your team members on the building of self-service data dashboards analyze editorial output to help editors optimize content strategy advise stakeholders on sensible campaign performance targets and lead internal and client-facing discussions on editorial insights as required.
This role can be based in either Hong Kong or Singapore reporting to the Content Insights Manager with a focus on editorial features across the APAC region.
Were looking for individuals with 1-2 years of experience in gathering and analyzing data from various sources coupled with a strong enthusiasm for translating data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about digital audience analytics demonstrating an ability to uncover trends and provide insights that support content decision-making and strategies.
Your Role Accountabilities
Leverage CNNs suite of analytics tools to deliver actionable insights ranging from building dashboards to creating impactful presentations about CNNs digital audience in general and feature content performance more specifically
Support concept development and content creation teams by providing analysis and insights to understand CNNs digital audience as well as industry trends to aid content strategies
Support the maintenance of our daily dashboards and track sponsorship performance against KPIs
Collaborate with commercial teams to understand reporting requirements to external clients/sponsors and support sponsorship renewals
Collaborate with broader Data Analytics Science and Insights teams
Qualifications & Experience
1-2 years of work experience in digital analytics or related role
Experience with digital analytics tools like Adobe Analytics Google Analytics or similar
Experience with data viz tools like Tableau Domo Looker Power BI or similar
Proven ability to synthesize data from multiple sources crafting actionable insights and communicating findings to non-data teams
Attention to detail and accuracy in compiling and analyzing data is a must
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Solid time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects
Fluency in English both written and oral
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with data science programming languages like Python or R
Familiarity with syndicated tools (ex. RivalIQ Sprout Social) and SEO data (ex. Google Search Console)
Prior experience in digital media/news field
Experience working for an international or multi-regional company
