Job Summary:
- As a Senior Events & Activations Officer
you will be responsible for the strategic planning and seamless execution of experiential marketing activities including both high-impact field activations and premium event experiences. This role requires full ownership of projects from conception to execution including planning budgeting production coordination on-site supervision and post-event reporting. Success in this position demands a strong understanding of both creative event execution and field activation mechanics ensuring that every ensuring that every consumer touchpoint is engaging brand-aligned and performance-driven.
You will work cross-functionally with internal teams vendors talent and stakeholders to deliver memorable and measurable campaigns across markets.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Develop integrated event and field activation strategies aligned with brand and campaign objectives.
- Translate briefs into actionable project plans incorporating timelines creative direction audience insights and performance metrics.
- Conduct research to identify trends venues activation routes consumer engagement tactics and location opportunities.
Creative Development & Concepting
- Ideate compelling event themes field activations and experiential concepts tailored to brand objectives and target audiences.
- Collaborate with designers copywriters and content teams to craft creative assets and storytelling across activations and events.
- Recommend innovative tech-driven and interactive elements to elevate impact.
Project & Production Management
- Lead the planning and execution of all events and activations including roadshows market storms campus activations product sampling retail engagements brand unveilings conferences media events and more.
- Develop comprehensive implementation plans including schedules checklists load-in/load-out plans vendor timelines staffing plans and contingency strategies.
- Supervise vendors production crew talents and field teams to ensure on-brand timely and seamless execution.
Budgeting & Financial Control
- Create and manage detailed project budgets from cost estimates to final reconciliations.
- Track all project expenditures and ensure financial compliance.
- Identify cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Liaise with internal teams partners and third-party vendors to ensure alignment across all project stages.
- Manage contracts and deliverables with vendors suppliers venue managers and field teams.
- Support sponsorship and partnership negotiations where relevant.
Monitoring & Field Supervision
- Conduct site visits route mapping and pre-activation checks to ensure readiness.
- Supervise brand ambassadors activation supervisors and promo teams on the field.
- Ensure all branding logistics and consumer interaction elements are properly implemented and on-brand.
Marketing & Communications Support
- Coordinate with marketing and communications teams for event/activation promotion.
- Support the development of pre-event hype live coverage and post-event content across digital and traditional channels.
- Leverage social media influencers and UGC (user-generated content) where applicable to amplify reach.
Reporting & Evaluation
- Design robust reporting templates capturing KPIs audience engagement visuals team feedback learnings and recommendations.
- Conduct post-activation/event evaluations collate feedback and analyse results for continuous improvement.
- Present campaign recaps and performance reviews to internal and client stakeholders.
Compliance & Administration
- Maintain accurate filing and documentation in line with company policy.
- Ensure safety risk and permit compliance across all projects.
- Perform any other tasks required to ensure first class project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Responsible for using and maintaining the filing system of the company at any times and in line with existing policies.
- Undertaking any necessary duties to ensure a first-class service is provided always.
- Being an ambassador for the business always.
Qualifications Competencies & Skills Required:
- Bachelors degree in Event Management Marketing Mass Communication Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven experience managing both field activations and premium event executions (preferably within the creative industry and FMCG environments).
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian experiential retail informal and event landscape.
- Excellent project management and multitasking abilities with a strong execution mindset.
- Highly creative and passionate about delivering unforgettable brand experiences.
- Strong vendor crew and field team management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) Google Workspace and project management tools
- Strong reporting and analytical skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure adapt quickly and manage multiple timelines.
- Willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel extensively as required.

Working Hours:
- 08.00 5.00 Mondays to Fridays
