As a Senior Software Engineer youll be at the forefront of this movementdesigning innovative tools streamlining workflows and crafting scalable solutions that make work feel effortless. Youll collaborate across IT and the wider business to imagine and implement automation systems that empower our people to do their best work.

This role is based in Budapest Hungary. If you are based in Hungary remote work is also an option.
What Youll Be Doing
- Create powerful tools and applications to support employee and manager lifecycles
- Work closely with business partners to understand business strategies while aligning product outcomes to create exceptional experiences using various technology
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Wolt to understand needs and build solutions that simplify their daily work.
- Support troubleshooting configuration testing and deployment of applications to meet requirements timelines and execution standards
- Document and support your work with clear instructions and ongoing knowledge sharing.
- Continuously refine and upgrade existing systems to stay ahead of scaling demands.
- Proactively hunt for opportunities to improve employee workflows and experience.
- Partner deeply with IT teams to ensure every tech touch point exceeds expectations.
What Were Looking For
- A strong software engineering foundation with 7 years of experience in building and maintaining production-grade systems.
- Fluency in Javascript (Typescript) React and similar technologies. Python will be a plus.
- A natural curiosity for automationyoure always testing new tools and keeping an eye on the latest trends.
- A problem-solving mindsetyoure the kind of person who doesnt stop until a solution is found.
- Clear professional communication skills and fluency in English.
- A team player with initiative and resilienceyou thrive in fast-paced collaborative environments.
- Willingness to travel when the job calls for it.
